The Nielsen Company today announced the appointment of David Parma to the position of Global Product Leader for the Company’s Customized Research group. In his new role, Mr. Parma will report to Joe Willke, Global President of the Company’s Consumer Product Leadership group, and will be based in New York.
Mr. Parma brings to his new role a strong background in client- and agency-side research, marketing and product development. Most recently, Mr. Parma headed the Company’s BASES East Coast, US office, and the BASES Analytical Resource Centre in India. Prior to BASES, Parma spent four years at McKinsey & Company in their Marketing and Strategy Practices, following a number of years at P&G in Italy and Belgium.
“Nielsen’s Customized Research unit is one of the Company’s best kept secrets, offering some of our most creative and cutting-edge products, which integrate especially well with Nielsen’s other signature services in the retail, panel and media tracking fields,” said Mr. Parma.
Mr. Parma will be responsible for the strategic direction and investment priorities of Nielsen’s Customized Research business globally, and will work with Nielsen’s other Global Product Leaders to develop products that integrate across the Company’s broad range of products and services.
